Have you ever heard about a blue hole? A blue hole is a submarine cave or sinkhole. I bet it will feel very different when you’re diving in a blue hole because all can you see around is just a dark blue water. You will feel scared but also curious for going into it deeper and deeper. And here they are :
- Great Blue Hole, Belize
You can find this hole in Lighthouse Reef Atoll (60 miles from Belize City) with depth around 123 m (400 ft) and width around 305 m (1000 ft).
- The Blue Hole, Dahab
This blue hole also known as the “World’s Most Dangerous Dive Site”. The depth of this hole is about 130 m with a tunnel at 52 m.
- Dean’s Blue Hole, Bahamas
This hole is one of the deepest blue hole in the world with its 663 ft deep. The name Dean was taken from the family who own the island nearby.
- The Blue Hole, Gozo
This blue hole is not clearly as visible from the surface. It started at 7 m deep and there’s a cave at 15 m deep that full of tuna, groupers and barracuda.
- The Blue Cave, Korcula
The blue hole is entered at 9 m below the surface inside the cave and has depth about 35 m.
Interesting place, right? Altough it may seem a little bit scary but it will push your adrenaline to its climax. Quite adventerous, i think!
